A sign is for the few things a guest needs at the moment they are standing there. Keep each sign to one place and one request, with the reason. Put the long rules in the listing and the guidebook.

What to avoid
- A page of rules on one sign.
- Different rules from the listing.
- Capital letters and exclamation marks.
- Threats about fees, unless they are in the listing and the booking site allows them.
- Out-of-date phone numbers.

What the paid pack adds
The lines above are free. The pack writes rules for your own place.
Host Ops Pack
How it works: You paste your rough rules. It drafts calm house rules and a house manual from your own words, and lists what is missing. Works in ChatGPT, Claude or any chatbot. No install.
What you give it: Your own words: a guest review, your rough rules, your listing text.
What you get: Six skills. Guest Review Reply: a public reply that is true as it stands, optional sentences to add once a fix is real, a private to-do list, and a flag on any review that needs your judgement first. House Rules and Guidebook: the standard rule settings to choose, calm extra rules, and a house manual built only from what you wrote, with a list of what is missing. Also a listing rewriter, a listing audit, photo descriptions and a review pattern finder.
A real run: shouted rules in, calm house rules and a list of what is missing out

What should be on a house rules sign?
Only what matters at that spot: quiet hours at the door, bins in the kitchen, fire and smoking in the garden. Add a phone number.
Should I print the house rules?
A short printed card can help guests who do not read the listing. Keep the rules identical to the listing, so there are no surprises.
How big should the text be?
Big enough to read from a metre away: at least 14 point in print. This is our advice.
Where do I put the signs?
At the place where the rule applies, at eye height.
Questions people ask
What do I do with the [BRACKETS]?
Replace each one with a real fact. If you cannot, delete the line. Never leave a bracket in what you post.
Do the signs replace the listing?
No. The listing and the guidebook hold the full rules. A sign repeats one line where it matters.
