Product description template: four you can fill in

Say what it is and who it is for in the first line. Then give the facts a buyer needs: size, materials, care and delivery.

Free. Not legal advice.

What to avoid

  • Do not use words you cannot prove: best, premium, perfect, amazing. Give a fact instead.
  • Do not paste the supplier's text word for word. Other stores have the same words, and buyers can tell.
  • Do not leave out size, materials and care. Those are the questions buyers ask before they buy.
  • Do not write one long block. Short lines and a few bullets are easier to scan on a phone.
  • Do not make health or safety claims you cannot support. Say what the product is and how it is made.

What the paid tool adds

Product Description Rewriter

What you give it: A product page address, pasted text, a collection address, or a product export file.

What you get: A description as clean HTML for your store: an opening about the benefit, short bullets, specs, care and policy notes. Also a search title (up to 60 characters) and a meta description (up to 155). It keeps your own tone and never invents facts: anything missing is flagged for you to confirm. A file run gives back a file you can import again.

Questions people ask

How long should a product description be?

As long as the buyer needs: what it is, who it is for, size, materials, care and delivery. Cut anything that is not a fact or a clear benefit.

Should I use bullets?

A few. They help on a phone. Keep the first line as a sentence so the page still reads well.

Can I use the supplier's description?

It is better to write your own. The same words on many stores do not help you stand out. Check the facts against the supplier's data.

What should I put in the search title and the meta description?

Say what the product is in plain words. The Product Description Rewriter keeps the title to 60 characters and the meta description to 155.

What if I do not know a fact, such as the weight?

Measure it or ask the supplier. Do not guess. Leave the line out until you know.
