Start here: what do I need to send?
A free tool: pick the reason the bank gave, tick what you have, and get your list, what is missing and a response outline. Press play to watch it run on an example.
Which reason did the bank give?
Shopify shows the reason on the chargeback banner of the disputed order. Pick it below for the evidence list, a response template and the mistakes to avoid.
- Fraudulent or unrecognized: The cardholder says they did not authorize the charge, or do not recognize your store name on their statement.
- Product not received: The customer told their bank they did not receive what they bought.
- Product unacceptable or not as described: The customer says what arrived was defective, damaged or not as you described it.
- Subscription canceled: The customer says you billed them for a subscription after it should have been canceled, or that they expected a reminder before the charge.
- Duplicate: The customer thinks you charged them twice for the same product or service.
- Credit not processed: The customer says they returned the product or canceled the order and never got their money back.
Faster than filling in the template yourself: the $5 kit has six fill-in letters, one per reason (Word or Google Docs), its evidence checklist and a worked example, plus the skill that writes the response from your order details. The template on this page stays free.
One price, $5. No percentage of what you win, no subscription, no surprise charges.
Stuck? Email your filled-in letter to kaiventura.founder@gmail.com before you submit (remove card numbers and anything you don't want to share). We'll tell you what's missing for your reason, usually within one working day. Not legal advice.
What store owners tell us hurts
Three problems that come up again and again on merchant forums. Each page has a checklist you can do today, free.
"I ran a paid meta ad campaign over the weekend and gained 260 sessions but 0 add to carts."
"I have nowhere to submit any follow-ups to the dispute."
"Sold out variants still showing as available in the catalog."
What we found in 100 Shopify stores
Public pages only, checked on 3 October 2026. The sample was chosen by hand, so read every figure as "in this sample". No store is named.
of the 99 stores we could measure have no shipping or return terms in their product structured data. Only 12% have any.
do not clearly state both shipping and returns on their product pages either. An assistant asked "can I return this?" has nowhere reliable to read the answer.
is the median store's median product description. At 80% of stores, fewer than 85% of products reach 80 words.
The full report, method and limits. The good news in it: 0% of the stores block AI agents, so the gaps are ones you can fix yourself.
1. Check your own store, free
The quickest start is the Agent-Ready Quick Check. Give it your store address and it runs six checks, then compares your store with the 99 we audited.
- Use ChatGPT or another chatbot? Copy the paste-in prompt. No install, no account on our side.
- Use an assistant that reads SKILL.md files?
npx skills add proskillpacks/skillsinstalls it, and the other free skills, from GitHub.
The other free skills for store owners:
- Agent-Ready Quick Check: Six checks on how AI shopping agents read your store, compared with 99 stores we audited.
- Policy Checker: Policy gaps and contradictions across refund, shipping, privacy and terms, with fixes to paste.
- Alt Text Writer: Alt text for every product image, written while looking at the photo, as an import CSV.
- Product Title Cleaner: One consistent title pattern across the catalogue, as an import CSV of changed rows only.
- Review Reply Drafter: A reply for every review, matched to its tone, with the risky ones flagged for you.
- Chargeback Evidence Checklist: Got a chargeback? The evidence to gather for your dispute reason, what you already have, and where to find each piece in Shopify.
All of them are free to use and change under the MIT licence.
2. Want us to look at your store? Ask.
Send your store address. We read the public pages the way an AI shopping assistant would and send back one page of findings: what we could and could not find, and the fixes to make first. It is free, there is no call and no sign-up, and we do not need access to your admin. We cannot promise an answer by a fixed day.
The email opens with the subject filled in, to kaiventura.founder@gmail.com. The GitHub form needs a free GitHub account; put "store check" in the title.

3. Take the jobs off your plate: the Store Ops Pack
Six skills in one download, one-time payment. Each skill is also sold on its own for $5. Each one was tested on real public Shopify stores before release. 30-day refund: reply to your receipt, or write to kaiventura.founder@gmail.com.
In the download: a folder per skill (the skill file, a README with the tested before and after, reference notes and helper scripts), a paste-in prompt version of each skill for ChatGPT or any chatbot with a printable prompt card, and upload-ready zips for Claude.ai.
