What to avoid
- Arguing with the guest or listing their mistakes. Future guests read your tone first.
- Naming the guest's party, dates or private details beyond what they wrote.
- Promising a fix you have not made. Use "we have" only for finished work and "we will" with a date.
- Offers of money or a free stay in public. Settle that in private.
- Copying one reply under every review.

What the paid pack adds
The replies above are free. The pack writes yours from the real review.
Host Ops Pack
How it works: You paste the review. It drafts the reply from the real text, and flags anything you should check. Works in ChatGPT, Claude or any chatbot. No install.
What you give it: Your own words: a guest review, your rough rules, your listing text.
What you get: Six skills. Guest Review Reply: a public reply that is true as it stands, optional sentences to add once a fix is real, a private to-do list, and a flag on any review that needs your judgement first. House Rules and Guidebook: the standard rule settings to choose, calm extra rules, and a house manual built only from what you wrote, with a list of what is missing. Also a listing rewriter, a listing audit, photo descriptions and a review pattern finder.
A real run: a mixed review in, the reply and a to-do list out
The review it was given
We had such a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! We picked this place for 8 girls (my bestie’s bachelorette trip), and we made the absolute most of it. It was a total blast and we truly loved our stay. However, we do want to note a few cleanliness issues. 2 of the queen beds were missing fitted sheets, and the ones provided did not seem well laundered. Several bath towels also had a funky smell. Additionally, the hot tub was not on when we arrived. We had to flip the breaker and troubleshoot quite a bit just to get it up to temp. We expected it to be ready for guests. The host had great communication and was helpful in resolving this, but the hot tub was dirty and not properly cleaned. This place has the potential to be an amazing stay - it has a great view and central location. It just needs better cleaning! We still had a great time but wanted to leave an honest review for future guests!
Public reply (69 words)
Thank you for choosing our place for your group's trip, and for the kind words about the view and central location. We're sorry you arrived to two queen beds without fitted sheets, sheets that didn't seem well laundered, towels with a funky smell, and a hot tub that was off, took troubleshooting to heat, and wasn't clean. Thank you for noting our communication and for leaving an honest review.
Add if true
- "The hot tub is now cleaned and checked before every stay." (after the apology sentence)
- "We have replaced the missing fitted sheets and the towels." (after the apology sentence)
- "We were in touch with you during your stay." (before the final sentence)
Private to-do
- Check that all queen beds have fitted sheets, and that the sheets and towels are freshly laundered and smell clean.
- Whoever cleans should clean the hot tub and confirm it's switched on and up to temperature before each arrival.
- Check whether the hot tub breaker tripped or was switched off, and whether it needs an electrician.
- Add the hot tub and linens to your turnover checklist.

Can I reply to a review on Vrbo?
Look under the review in your owner account for the option to reply. We could not open Vrbo's help pages on 5 October 2026, so this page does not quote its rules. Write the reply for the next guest who reads it, not only for the guest who left it.
Can I delete or edit a bad review on Vrbo?
We could not confirm Vrbo's rule on this, so we do not state one. Read the site's review guidelines in your owner account and ask the site if you think a review breaks them. Do not argue the point in your reply.
Should I reply to every Vrbo review?
Reply to every complaint and to any review that mentions something a new guest will rely on, such as noise, beds or parking. A reply to a five-star review is a nice extra, and one line is enough. This is our advice, not the site's rule.
What should an owner reply say?
A thank-you, one true detail that shows you read the review, and the steps you took or will take about any problem. Keep it short and calm.
Questions people ask
What do I do with the [BRACKETS]?
Replace each one with a real fact. If you cannot, delete the line. Never leave a bracket in what you post.
Is the reply public?
Yes. Write it as if every future guest will read it, because they can.
